  • Diploma attesting to 13 years of school education equivalent to a Quebec Diploma of College Studies. For details on country-specific requirements

How to Apply for Admission to Laval University

Laval University Application Deadline 2024

Laval University application deadline 2024 for Undergraduate/Graduate Admissions is given as follows. All applications should keep dates.

Fall:                 February 1

Winter:            September 15

Summer:          January 15

Documents Required for Admission

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)
  • Legible copy of transcript(s) of secondary, college-level, post-secondary, or pre-university studies
  • Detailed résumé including a description of your work/life experience
  • The Registrar’s Office may later request a copy of your diploma.
  • International Applicants
    • Upon arrival, international applicants must present their passports or study permits for the purpose of confirming their dates of birth.
    • Legible copy of official transcripts from your final 2 years of pre-university education
    • Legible copy of official results of grades received on secondary-level baccalaureate exams
    • Legible copy of official transcripts from your university studies or additional studies undertaken after completing your pre-university education.
    • Legible copies of diplomas or degree certificates, once awarded, or official transcripts showing the name of the diploma received.
  • Front and back copies of your permanent resident card and Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), if applicable

Visa Process for International Students

The following documents are required from all Internationally admitted students.

  • A valid passport
  • A Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), from the Ministry of Immigration for programs longer than 6 months
  • Apply for a study permit and visa
  • Quebec’s immigration law requires proof of valid health and hospitalization insurance.
